My friend, Karen

This card is for my friend, Karen. A couple weeks ago she gave me a really pretty pink hyacinth in a double green bucket. It is beautiful and it makes my kitchen smell great. Every time I go to my kitchen I think about her and what a great friend she is. She is always thinking of others and doing what she can to cheer them up. I love talking to her and sharing our lives. She doesn't judge me or try to compete with me, she is just there to listen and give me hope, even in this economy, and even though she is going through some stuff herself. So I made this card with her, and that beautiful hyacinth that continues to grow in my kitchen, in mind.

Glenda's challenge was really simple this week. Use a tool that you haven't used in a while. I thought of my wavy crimping tool. Haven't used that in forever. I also wanted to try the hot pink and orange color combination, threw a little purple in there for good measure. Not sure if you remember but a while ago Glenda had a challenge on her blog to make a card without a sentiment. I bugged her to do that challenge and then I didn't participate. Well, Glenda, I finally got it done on this weeks challenge. Didn't think I needed a sentiment on this card, so I didn't use one.

How do you like this one, Jane? Think simple, think A Muse.

Beautiful card for a beautiful friend Dawn. You are very lucky. She is lucky to - you are so sweet! Thanks for incorporating two challenges on this card - it is fabulous!! I don't have a crimper... you've inspired me. I might have to pick one up. Thanks for playing... and getting Jane to play too!

Dear Dawn,

I'm at the library checking your blog....I am so touched. You are so special to make this beautiful card for me-it's just one of the many reasons that we've been friends for so long--you are always so thoughtful and gracious, and I am incredibly lucky to be your friend.

Love you always my dear friend!
Karen
